Since the fall of 2004 I have been taking classes at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, in Honolulu, Hawaii. I entered as a graduate student in Asian Studies in the Fall of 2004, started a concurrent MA degree in Library and Information Sciences in the Spring of 2005, and later switched from Asian Studies to Japanese Linguistics in the Spring of 2006.
I completed my MA in Japanese in December 2007, and as of Spring 2008 have completed my requirements for the MLISc - though have not officially graduated, since I am on a year's leave studying in Japan.
